About The Work
Bjarne Melgaard has a marked preoccupation with tigers. While he has gone so far as to show live cubs in a gallery show, his treatment of the subject is good-naturedly fanciful in NO. I (TAN): this reclining, martini-drinking tiger is altogether jovial and looks as though he was simply lifted from a comic strip.
