About The Work
Geometric drawing done in black ink by legendary Minimalist/Conceptual master Sol Lewitt, with postmark stamp dated 27 September, 1982 from Spoleto, Italy where Sol Lewitt lived. Lewitt has also handwritten a dateline of "Spoleto September 82 in ink." One of the more intricate and impressive drawings by Lewitt. The front of the postcard (i.e. the non address side) on which Lewitt created this drawing depicts Vincent Van Gogh's "Ears of Wheat" at the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam.
