About The Work
Sculptor Mark di Suvero has committed his career to building colossal abstract drawings made of arched steel beams. Often preceded by study drawings on paper, such as this unique work, both mediums portray complex nodal articulations within space. Of the drawings, Mark di Suvero has said “I drew ideas out of feelings and pure emotions in telling the ink-wash drawn line’s outflow a kind of natural joy of invention.”
