About The Work
The multifaceted work of Argentinian artist Pablo Accinelli is a process of reduction, analysis and expression. Using various quantifiable systems including rulers, invented typography and representational elements, the artist navigates the physical relationship of object to space. Decidedly modern in both concept and execution, Accinelli’s works fuse art, language and design with the use of everyday industrial materials. In this sculptural piece, nine aluminum sheets are installed into the wall and covered with sheets of paper. Entitled Higrómetro, Accinelli references, both literally and conceptually, the hydrograph—an instrument used to measure variations in atmospheric humidity.
