Pablo Accinelli

A visual artist, writer and poet, Pablo Accinelli first began his studies with fellow Argentinian artists Alejandro Puente and Diana Aisenberg, taking particular influence from the systems-based work of Puente. Exploring the theoretical and functional relationship between object and tool, understanding and analysis, Accinelli’s work disseminates visual information through real and invented systems of calculation and communication. Squares, charts, rulers and color codes are used in his drawings, sculptures and installations to re-contextualize and present information. Since 2006 Accinelli has been a member of Actividad de Uso, a group dedicated to writing books about young Argentine artists, with fellow artist Leandro Tartaglia.

Accinelli has been the recipient of a number awards and scholarships including the 2014 Scholarship and Commissions Program of the Cisneros-Fontanals Art Foundation (CIFO), the 2012 Lucio Fontana Prize, and the 2006 Annual Poetry Scholarship from Ricardo Rojas Cultural Center. His work was included in the 2012 Bienal de São Paulo and the 2009 Triennial Poligráfica of Puerto Rico. He has had solo exhibitions at Galeria Luisa Strina, São Paulo, Brazil ARCOmadrid, Madrid, Spain and Frame Frieze, London, England, among others.
