About The Work
To realize this arresting image, artist Aura Rosenberg made a body print with Vaseline directly on the lithographic stone, which then became the basis of an edition of five. Her arms are crossed, as if bound, but this simple gesture is nonetheless emotionally loaded, as well as rather ambiguous. Arguably, the work is open to interpretation and may be understood equally as either a suggestive stance or a warning sign.
