Fashion designer Maria Cornejo - founder and creative director of Zero + Maria Cornejo has collaborated with artist Wangechi Mutu for a special edition silk charmeuse Rae Caftan that features Mutu's Histology of the Different Classes of Uterine Tumors, from 2004-2005.
This exclusive dress was created to commemorate “Wangechi Mutu: Intertwined” at The New Museum, opening to the public on March 2nd. The collaboration will be unveiled on February 28, 2023, during a private viewing of the exhibition and will be available exclusively at the New Museum Store and at Zero + Maria Cornejo's NoHo store at 33 Bleecker Street.
This dress, which is 95% silk and 5% elastane, will be available in one size only. The front is a digital silk print in a stretch charmeuse quality and the back combo is in a solid black stretch charmeuse. The style features black silk binding at the neckline and center front slit with a hook and eye closure at center front neck.
