About The Work
KAWS created this original signed drawing in 2010 at Honor Fraser Gallery in Los Angeles. It is held on the first front end page of his Rizzoli monograph and includes a dedication that reads: "To Caroline" as well as an original hand drawing. The drawing is bound within the book but can be removed and framed separately, or kept within the book - either as a coffee table book or splayed on a display table or perspex box. An especially intricate drawing - uncommon to find such a gorgeous and impressive original signed work. Boldly signed and dated by KAWS on the first front end page of this elegant 263 page hardcover monograph titled "KAWS" by Mónica Ramírez-Montagut. The book has a cloth binding and was published by Rizzoli International Publications, Incorporated. The monograph holding the drawing is a survey of the artist's body of work. Multidisciplinary artist KAWS was first known for his work as a graffiti artist and his subversive approach to popular imagery on bus shelter and phone booth advertisements.
