    About The Work

In Pomegranate, artist Daniel Gordon expertly conflates collage and staged photography. Here, a messy domestic scene—it is at once comical and unsettling—has been assembled out of paper and found imagery. Two odd, “hairy” arms extend before the viewer, and crumpled paper forms one hand, which grasps the fruit, while the other pixelated hand holds an appropriated picture of a cigarette.
