About The Work
The work of Dan Graham accesses the symbiotic relationship between architectural spaces and their inhabitants. Encompassing photography, curating, writing, performance, video, and installation, Graham’s practice is multi-faceted and ever evolving. His well-known project Homes for America (1966-67) involved documenting a series of suburban housing, alongside elaborate notes on the economics and architecture of developments. In this image entitled High Rise New York City Office Buildings, Graham captures the mirrored side of an urban office building, reflecting the complexities of social space in relation to structure.
