    About The Work

Collaborating artists Anthea Hamilton and Nicholas Byrne focus intently on the theatrical and sensory experience of art. Their projects, often housed within twentieth century civic architecture, opens up spaces, normally inaccessible to the public. In this edition created for Glasgow International, Hamilton and Byrne layer various sexual and pictorial symbols to create the masked face of a totem figure.
