About The Work

A quiet, more understated work within Pablo Picasso’s oeuvre, this lovely aquatint print melds traditional figure drawing with the master’s characteristic representation. In Buste de Femme au Fichu the profile of an older pheasant woman is rendered in loosely-sketched patterns. This edition comes from La caisse à remords, a suite of etchings and drypoints executed between 1919-1955.
