    About Kehinde Wiley

    From The Magazine

    • This limited edition silk caftan features Kehinde Wiley's 2008 painting The Veiled Christ, reimagined from Giuseppe Sanmartino's 1753 marble sculpture of the same name. Providing the image of an anonymous figure, a white shroud clings to a muscular brown body, beneath which appears only faint impressions of his musculature and facial features. The background features an elegant floral textile, with botanical tendrils emanating around the models body and into the foreground.
