About The Work
This challah knife is designed by Israeli industrial designer Tomer Botner of Florentine Kitchen Knives exclusively for the Jewish Museum Shop. Produced as a limited edition of only 100 pieces, Botner's knife is designed to be an heirloom item that will age well and last for generations.
Balancing utilitarian needs with ceremonial ones, every detail of the knife is carefully considered. Blades are 235mm high-quality stainless steel, more commonly used in high-end chef's knives, ensuring the blade will keep its edge for much longer than most bread knives. The handle is composed of brass, stabilized leather, and wood, for a timeless design. Each knife comes in a beautiful gift box, also suitable for storage.
