"Sunnyside Yard 28" is a large exuberant abstract monoprint, with brush strokes both gestural and minimalist. It is printed as a bleed on 100% cotton rag paper, in red, ultramarine blue, and gray, hand signed in pencil in the lower right corner.
Andrea Belag's paintings and works on paper have been widely exhibited and collected throughout the US and internationally, in venues that include; The Jewish Museum, Pera Museum, Istanbul, Turkey, Mead Museum, Amherst, Newark Museum, NJ, New Jersey State Museum, Heinz Holtmann, Cologne, Sprengel, Hanover, Germany, and Jeddah Collection, United States Embassy, Saudi Arabia. Recent exhibitions include: Gallery Gris, Hudson NY, Cuevas Tilleard, NY, Edward Thorp Gallery, NY, DCKT Contemporary, NY. and SHFAP, NY. Belag has been the recipient of various honors and fellowships from; The Guggenheim Foundation, Rockefeller Foundation at Bellagio, Italy; National Endowment for the Arts; Yaddo Foundation, NJ State Council on the Arts. She is currently working on a commission for the MTA Arts for Transit and Urban Design that will be installed summer, 2017.
