About The Work
Participants in one of DCA’s first Print Studio residency projects, The Yes Men have collaborated with Dundee to produce a series of original screenprints that depict the “McRevolutionaries”—a series of fictional characters that suggest a hybrid between a well know fast food chain mascot and historic revolutionary figures.
Inspired by the Yes Men’s spoof presentation at the Serious Games conference in Birmingham, these prints urge the message of potential for great change in a simulated ‘game’ of global industrial policy. Their missive is that, as in historic situations of extreme need, popular pressure can create a revolution and trigger change in government legislation.
