About The Work
Pettibon’s signature drawings combine imagery with text, stemming from is idiosyncratic iconography that takes its cue from “politics, religion, sports, advertising, sex, drugs and rock’n’roll.” He is the 2004 recipient of the Bucksbaum Award, given to artists exhibiting in the Whitney Museum of American Art. Born in Arizona, his work is shown internationally.
This piece was made in 2005 at Josephine Press with master printer John Greco, along with A Girl Named Yoko and One More Line.
