About The Work
During the early to mid-1930s, Pablo Picasso executed the Vollard Suite, a set of etchings depicting classically inspired imagery (the suite is name after Ambroise Vollard, the dealer who commissioned the work). This particular piece, an edition of 260 is portrayed in the simple contoured lines that today are immediately recognizable as Picasso’s own.
