About The Work
This unique work is a study for Naama Tsabar’s Gaffers series. For these works, Tsabar collaborates with different bands, going on stage the moment their show is over to gaffer their cable arrangement to the surface of the stage. She then goes on to pull a thin gaffer tape skin off the stage that is an imprint of the surface of the stage and the cable composition as were at time of the show. The size of the work and composition of the cables are pre-determent by the size of the stage and how the band sets up. The artist controls which band to choose, and the formal decisions in the placing of the tape.
