About The Work
"As my observations deepened with time and experience it has become clear that peace is a natural state that is greatly disturbed in busy cities which push us apart from nature. With the acceptance that we are unable to fully process the brokenness of our world, maintaining peace of mind can be a difficult task.
This series of landscapes and cityscapes don't carry a specific message. Instead, it is a collection of interactions with my surroundings that reflect a state of release and belonging. When I allow myself to accept everything as it is and become fully present, I feel like I’m dreaming. Because in dreams we don’t think but simply experience. This has led me to an intuitive understanding of the current zeitgeist that urges us to examine our well-being in cities and find ways to reunite with the natural state.
I invite the viewer to meditate into that dream state - the flawless stillness in the now that feels like nothing and everything all at once. A space for peace I call eternity."
