About The Work
“When gazing at the stars long enough put those senses into writing or contain it in art.” A dream so clear that it woke me up at night.
While silently observing the night sky standing in absolute darkness, suddenly, it became apparent to me that my senses are not like it used to be. I wasn’t an observer in awe but simply a part of it all. With this series my attempt is to capture that sense of unity with the universe in a more intimate and playful way, as something that’s not very distant but is right within us with all the answers – the force of love that has no limitation.
As the long exposure extends ‘time’ I used those seconds to point the camera and move slowly with my entire body while creating traces that look like sketches. Followed by editing and printing techniques with an intention to blur the lines between photography and paining. I like to think of these traces as those thousands of light years of a distance from the stars that connect the past and the present and inspires the future.
As we are entering a new era of conscious expansion it is clear now that the sense of separation from each other, the earth, the entirety has been delusional, and should we never forget to look up within and ask – what delusions we create now?
