About The Work
Over the past three decades Holzer has created an impressive oeuvre consisting of objects, sculpture and public art...often revisiting the slogans and sayings she first embraced in the early 1980's. Holzer has focused on perhaps a dozen of the original "Truisms" and revisted them in an array of media ranging from billboards to t-shirts, from marble benches to pencils.
Holzer's text-based pieces have provoked the public to consider the power structures that surround us.
This complementary set of beautifully glazed ceramic chargers boast two of Holzer's most famous slogans:
"Money Creates Taste"
"All Things Are Delicately Interconnected"
