    About The Work

This early work by Jean-Michel Basquiat, New York/New Wave, was first exhibited at the seminal group exhibition at the P.S. 1 gallery in 1981 that was also titled "New York/New Wave". The exhibition is credited for launching Basquiat's career.

This oversized jacquard towel is made from 100% cotton and is both absorbent and durable. The towel features Jean-Michel Basquiat's New York/New Wave artwork in brilliant red woven against a light blue background.
