‘Windsock Storyboard is based on my film Tete à Tête in which two mechanically operated windsocks are the main protagonists in a romantic drama set in a classic English landscape around Yorkshire Sculpture Park. Here, they turn their back on each other in a pivotal moment of confrontation.’ - Fiona Banner
School Prints revives a groundbreaking scheme set up in the 1940s to supply original, high-quality contemporary art to primary schools. Last year, six British artists – Martin Creed, Jeremy Deller, Anthea Hamilton, Helen Marten, Haroon Mirza and Rose Wylie – were invited to create limited edition prints that were gifted to participating Wakefield schools.
In 2019, Fiona Banner, Sir Peter Blake, Francis Upritchard and Richard Wentworth created a new series of limited edition prints as part of the scheme.
