    About The Work

Handprinted by the artist on Arches Platine paper in an edition of 10, each with unique variations.

Cyanotype is of the earliest forms of photography, a process invented by Sir John Herschel in 1842 that results in a striking and simple blue print. Here a fallen Gingko leaf is given its due significance as a symbol of resilience and longevity. The tree is one of the oldest species of trees still living, and individual trees can live for more than 1,000 years.
