Using a uniquely abstracted language of economic, political and social algorithms, Argentinian artist Eduardo Santiere creates delicate, complex works that interweave patterns of line and texture to form miniscule universes of color, bio-morphic systems and geometric sets. Through a process of marking, scratching into cotton paper, the artist produces divots and bumps which transform the surface of the material like sculptural relief. Santiere’s background in computer science acts as a major inspiration for his work, which he describes as "an uncertain vision of the future—fragmented and abstract.”

His work has been included in group exhibitions at the Krannert Art Museum, Champaign, IL, The Drawing Center, New York, NY, Museo de Arte de Brasilia, Brasilia, Brazil, Frederieke Taylor Gallery, New York, NY, Curator's Office, Washington, DC, Galerie Thomas, Munich, Germany, Centro Cultural de España in Buenos Aires, Buenos Aires, Argentina, and Bienal AAGA in the Visual Arts, Buenos Aires, Argentina, among others. He has exhibited his work in numerous international art fairs such as PULSE NY, Scope Miami and NY, ArtParis, NADA, Art Brussels, Preview Berlin, and Art Chicago. Santiere is also the winner of numerous grants and residencies including the Hafnarborg Museum, Iceland, in 2014 and the Wassaic Project, in 2013.
