Archival pigment print on Hahnemühle paper

This work is signed and numbered by the artist in pencil.

    About The Work

The Macaw Series evolved through an investigation into how the artist could bring these beautiful feathers to life in a way that was less literal. The process involved angling the feathers and using a macro lens which changed the perspective and highlighted the iridescence. In order to get the whole image in focus and to make the work more graphic, Rowe used a technique called Focus-Stacking which is taking multiple exposures at different focal lengths and then combining them to create the final image.
