About The Work
In “Camino de Santiago”, Bernat Garcia Chamorro shows a series of photographs taken in its entirety on his journey, on foot, from Saint Jean Pied de Port to Leon. The author remains loyal to his style with images that look for maximum simplicity as the basis of his own artistic language.
Bernat photographs are populated by presences that are invisible to the human eye, whose ethereal form is captured by his camera with austerity and simplicity. Each image has a mystical charge that not only surrounds the landscapes and spaces but becomes the argumentative discourse of his work.
In this latter work, done entirely in medium format film in black and white and personally processed by the author, Bernat only wants to show the world through his eyes, with the only hope to convey some of the beauty experienced at the time shooting.
