About The Work
Dismaland was a temporary art installation and satirical theme park created by the anonymous street artist Banksy in 2015. Located in Weston-super-Mare, England, it featured a dystopian, darkly humorous take on traditional amusement parks, with subversive and politically charged artworks by Banksy and other artists.
The park included grim versions of classic attractions, interactive exhibits, and a sarcastic commentary on consumerism, celebrity culture, and societal issues. Dismaland aimed to challenge the conventional notions of entertainment and provoke thought on contemporary social and political topics.
