Lonnie Holley

The seventh of twenty-seven children, Lonnie Holley was born in 1950 in Birmingham, AL. Both a visual artist and a musician, his work reflects the hardships of his childhood, where he was shuffled between foster homes until he ran away to Louisiana at the age of 14. Holley has worked with a number of different mediums, including drawing, painting, sculptures, photograph, and performance.
