Hayashi received her BFA from Kyoto Seika University in 2004 and her MFA from the Tokyo University of the Arts in 2013. She currently lives and works in Berlin, Germany.
In 2013, Kanako Hayashi received an Asian Cultural Council Fellowship to research contemporary art, as well as meet artists and curators, and participate in an artist residency program at the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council (LMCC) in New York. Across the field, culture and generation, my arts never stop challenging me for new adventure.”
