Giulio Paolini

Giulio Paolini is often associated with the Arte Povera movement, although his work is more closely linked to pure conceptualism. Paolini’s entire output is an analytical research into the instruments and conditions of art, into the exhibitions space, and the role of the artist as operator of language. Since the early 1960s Paolini has held exhibitions in numerous museums of Italy, as well as internationally (Musée D’Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris, Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam, Castello di Rivoli in Turin, among others.) He was part of both the Biennale di Venezia and Documenta in several editions. His work is also featured in some of the most important museum collections across the globe.
