Emily Hoerdemann

Emily Hoerdemann (b. 1985) is a Los Angeles-based collage artist.  She received her BFA in painting and photography from Bradley University (Peoria, IL), and a Masters in Contemporary Art from Sotheby’s Institute of Art (New York, NY). Her practice utilizes analog collage with tangible materials to explore the contradictions and complications presented by the representation of the American Dream, the evolution of memory, and to critique the art market.  Emily’s works are in numerous private collections, have been featured in the LA Times and Forbes, are included on The Frame art tv by Samsung, and have been exhibited in New York, Chicago, London, and Los Angeles.
