Edward Thomasson

Edward Thomasson is a multidisciplinary artist who creates video works, performance art, and drawings, through which he explores performance in everyday, non-theatrical settings. Regarding his video works, Thomasson uses both trained and untrained performers in order to create pieces that investigate how storytelling is used as a vehicle for understanding personal interactions and our quotidian environment. Thomasson’s drawings, too, reflect an interest in relationships between people, highlighting the ways in which a narrative can even be imbedded within the confines of a still, two-dimensional object. 

Thomasson has been the subject of solo exhibitions at Furini Arte Contemporanea in Rome and Chisenhale Gallery, London.
