Troika

Troika is a London-based collective founded in 2003 by Eva Rucki (Germany, 1976), Conny Freyer (Germany, 1976) and Sebastien Noel (France, 1977). With a particular interest in perception and experience in the age of technology, their collective works are driven by the concepts of animation, control, autonomy and rationality. As Troika experiments with new ideas and processes, the artists work across media including light, soot, water, dice and electricity. Their work often presents a double, deceptive nature, at once deliberate and spontaneous, calculated and random, allowing Troika to explore the coalition of interdependent agents.

Solo presentations of their work have been exhibited at NCArte, Bogota, Art Basel Unlimited, Kohn gallery, LA, Daelim Museum, Seoul and Galeria OMR, Mexico City. Their work has been shown in numerous institutions, most recently at Fondation Vasarely, Aix-en-Provence, Kunstmuseum Stuttgart, Zentrum für Kunst und Medientechnologie, Karlsruhe, the Lehmbruck Museum, Duisburg, Kunstmuseum Wolfsburg, Centre PasquArt, Biel/Bienne, Drawing Room, London, Haus Konstruktiv, Zurich.
