Tobias Spichtig

The work of Swiss artist Tobias Spichtig is generated through a vast circulation of reference, media, fashion, humor and materials. Engaging with visual culture through both traditional and experimental means, Spichtig’s conceptual narratives often use color as a means of connecting themes. His installations, sculptures, paintings, photographs and films address ever-changing notions of reality and the temporal nature of images. 

Spichtig’s solo exhibitions include LambdaLambdaLambda, Pristina, Michael Thibault Gallery, Los Angeles, Galerie Bernhard, Zürich, Ursula Blickle Stiftung, Kraichtal. Group exhibitions include Oracle, Berlin, Michael Thibault Gallery, Los Angeles, Plymouth Rock, Zürich, Kunsthalle Wien, Elevation 1049, Gstaad, Ludlow 38, Goethe Institut, New York, and Witte de With Centre for Contemporary Art, Rotterdam. His performance is often staged in collaboration with Paolo Thorsen-Nagel and Theresa Patzschke.
