About The Work

Brazilian artist Rosângela Rennó is interested in the appropriation of images and found photographs. In Quintal I the artist has allowed light to penetrate the photo paper in one section much longer than the rest of the image, creating a ghostly, blurred circle in the foreground. The artist has taken what would have been a straightforward landscape photo and rendered it an abstract, almost supernatural image.
