Ronny Quevedo

Ronny Quevedo is an interdisciplinary artist who creates installations, drawings, prints, and sculptures that explore the duality of immigrant experience. Quevedo was born in Ecuador and grew up in the Bronx, where he currently resides. He is influenced by archaeology, pre-Columbian text, salsa, hip-hop, and Mesoamerican ballgames. His father was a professional soccer player and many of his pieces reference gymnasium floors and sports.


Quevedo’s work has been widely shown in the United States, including The Drawing Center, New York, Queens Museum, New York, Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, El Museo del Barrio, New York, and The Bronx Museum of the Arts, New York. He has held residencies at the Core Program at the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, Project Row Houses, Houston, and Lower East Side Printshop, New York.
