Paul Jung

A promising up-and-coming photographer and filmmaker, Paul Jung is recognized by the fashion industry and art world alike and has collaborated with major brands such as ISAORA. Based in New York City, the artist’s work is informed by a worldly perspective: Jung was born in Taiwan and grew up in Australia before completed a BFA in Milan and working across Asia, in Shanghai, Beijing, and Bangkok.

“I’m not particularly interested in traditional ‘beauties,’ as that’s something which we are overwhelmed with in all our channels today across all medias,” Jung explains. “What I am interested in are faces and personalities, which help convey a certain aesthetic mood.” In particular, Jung’s style is defined by a crisp, uncluttered point of view. His subjects often appear isolated within sparse surroundings and against blank backgrounds, the foundation of a clean and poetically simple aesthetic.
