Jealous Gallery
LondonJealous is a fine art print studio, contemporary gallery and print publisher with spaces in East London’s creative hub of Shoreditch and Tottenham.
Internationally recognised as one of the foremost fine art studios working today, Jealous are well known for their collaborative approach, producing high quality limited edition prints with leading artists, galleries and museums such as the Saatchi Gallery, The British Museum, the Imperial War Museum and The Victoria and Albert Museum.
Whilst offering an advisory and curatorial service for many private clients, Jealous also curates and oversees all aspects of large-scale installations. Clients include Soho House Internationally, Artist Residence, Project Orange, FORA, The Groucho Club, Montcalm and The Hoxton Group.
Jealous champions the work of established and arising talent and has built an international reputation for championing new art and for never standing still. Most notably, The Jealous Prize, which is an annual award given to MA graduates from London’s major colleges, where winners create an exclusive screenprint edition, which then forms part of the V&A’s permanent print collection.
Recent significant projects include The Help Portfolio, a collaborative charity project published with Cristea Roberts Gallery, featuring prints by 16 leading UK artists, including Michael Craig Martin, Yinka Shonibare CBE, Ian Davenport and Margaret Calvert OBE. Jealous continue to publish the work of David Shrigley OBE; the Turner Prize nominated artist who rose to widespread acclaim after his contribution to the Fourth Plinth in Trafalgar Square, London. Last year Saatchi Gallery and Jealous partnered to present the exhibition ‘RIGHT HERE RIGHT NOW’, showcasing new and recent works by a diverse line-up of emerging and established artists including Chris Levine, Charming Baker, Stanley Donwood and Jake and Dinos Chapman. Jealous also collaborated with The Big Issue and internationally acclaimed artistic duo The Connor Brothers to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the magazine and to raise money for the charity. Saint Jealous continues to generate funds for the various charities supported, with over £600,000 donated to date.
