Dawid Radziszewski Warsaw
Dawid Radziszewski Gallery was established in 2013. Dawid Radziszewski (b. 1984) is an art historian and independent curator, was also the owner of the former Poznań-based independent art space Galeria Pies (2005–2012).
Radziszewski and the majority of artists he represents come from the same generation, all born in the mid-1980s in Poland. But the gallery program is not limited to just their solo shows. In recent years it has also focused on emerging international artists such as Louisa Gagliardi or Serban Savu, featuring the work of figures such as Hanne Lippard and David Horvitz, and is expanding onto rediscovering select phenomena from the peripheries of Polish art including artistic textiles, television and graphic design, as well as historical exhibitions exploring the aesthetics of the 1960s and 70s, encompassing research into the Polish new age movement and hippie scene.
The gallery first opened in Warsaw's famous Corbusier-esque residential complex named "Behind the Iron Gate". In September 2018 it moved to a much larger space located in a contemporary housing estate kept in the architectural vibes of the 1960s.
During recent years the gallery has participated in numerous international art fairs, including Art Basel, Cosmoscow, FIAC, Frieze London, Liste, Paris Internationale, NADA Miami, Viennacontemporary.
