Casa Imelda
Mexico CityCasa Imelda is an artist run space that began with the intention to recover, through a cultural project, an iconic early XXth century house in the neighborhood of Santa María la Ribera in Mexico city. The repaired spaces where occupied by artists, curators and social activists engaged with art and education. During this period Casa Imelda also realized an international Artist in Residency Program (AIR Imelda) and promoted different cultural activities.
The recuperation of the house took three years in which a platform for art production, education and social development was set.
Nowadays Casa Imelda still promotes art production and continues its residency program in Mexico city and Puebla.
