During the week of Art Basel Miami Beach, the world's most prominent collectors fly into Miami from around the world to buy art and, just as importantly, to socialize with the top dealers and artists of the day. On Thursday night, Artspace joined with NetJets, the leader in private aviation, to host an exclusive soirée combining these two pursuits, welcoming a crowd of international patrons, gallerists, and artists to the Bath Club for an evening of art and conversation celebrating NetJets's 11th year as sponsor of Art Basel Miami Beach.
At the center of the festivities was a show of new work by six of the most sought-after young artists working today: Wangechi Mutu, Angel Otero, Luis Gispert, Emilio Perez, Dzine, and Angelo Filomeno. Curated by Artspace with NetJets and independent curator Micaela Giovannotti and displayed around the elegant club, the work lured an art-world crowd that included the artists Mickalene Thomas, Otero, and Dzine, as well as representatives from Rhona Hoffman Gallery, Lehmann Maupin, Gladstone Gallery, Galerie Lelong, and Salon 94. The guests dined on a sumptuous array of foods from around the globe, sipping champagne while wandering between the open-air courtyard and the exhibition.
We are also pleased to extend exclusive benefits to Artspace clients who purchase their first NetJets Share™, NetJets Lease™, or Marquis Jet Card®. For more information, please call NetJets at 866.538.7248.
