L'atelier Nawbar
“As fragments of glass fell around us following the tragic events of Beirut, we decided to make art from these scraps. This piece is exclusively created for the Dear Beirut fundraiser. Handmade with shattered glass from the city of Beirut, encrusted with 0.1 cts of white diamonds, and set in an 18K gold mosaic of love, this piece is a tribute to our beloved Beirut. As the children of generations of jewelers, Dima and Tania fondly remember growing up playing dress-up with and adorned in their father’s and grandfather’s designs, which created a strong love for jewelry and the longing to design as their family has done for four generations. Today, they are the first female jewelers in the Nawbar dynasty, and carry their legacy with pride as they continue their family tradition.
