Wheat’s work is represented in the permanent collections of the Whitney Museum of American Art, the Hammer Museum, and the Pérez Art Museum Miami, among others. Her work has been featured in publications such as The New York Times, Artforum, and Vogue.
Watering Weeds
Based on an original large-scale painting of the same name, the Watering Weeds edition consists of 30 unique hand-embellished prints that reflect the artist’s practice of pushing the boundaries of materiality and abstraction.
Wheat is known for her dynamic, large-scale works that combine the human figure, abstraction, and references to both contemporary culture and art history. Her vibrant, tactile works often draw inspiration from the human body, exploring themes of cultivation, empowerment, and the intersection of the spiritual and the mundane.
