Chelsea Ramirez

Chelsea Ramirez is best known for her mixed media, charcoal drawings that unravel identity and community. Ramirez received her B.F.A from the University of Central Florida in Orlando, continued her study of drawing and painting at Edinburgh College of Art and Design in Scotland and the New York Studio School in NYC, and completed her MFA from Louisiana State University, where she was an Instructor of Record for foundation courses. Her work has been shown at the Huntsville Museum of Art in Huntsville, Alabama; Prospect 3+: BR Invitational in Baton Rouge, Louisiana; La Bodega Gallery in Brooklyn, NY; Denise Bibro Fine Art in Chelsea, NYC; and the Sotheby’s Institute of Art, NYC; amongst others
