Brenna Youngblood

Brenna Youngblood graduated with an MFA from the University of California, Los Angeles, where she lives and works. In her collages, drawn from her own archive of photographs, she layers fragments of photographs with paint and other materials. Her works reference distressed interiors as well as repressed historical narratives. Made in a muted palette, her collages blur the boundaries between painting and photography.
