Boo Saville

In her drawings, prints, photographs, and paintings, Boo Saville explores the surreal origins and mysterious forms of human remains, geology, and archaeology. Often inspired by scientific or natural history textbooks, Saville indexes visual archives of what she calls, "curled and gnarled human phenomena," as well as the imagery of both spiritual objects and even victims of bizarre and intriguing sacrificial murders.

Saville received a BA from London's Slade School of Art in 2000, and in 2007, she was a nominee for the Sovereign Painting Prize. She has shown her work at institutions including MOCCA Toronto and the Museum of New and Old Art in Tazmania, among others. Saville lives and works in London.
