Jarek Puczel

Jarek Puczel's paintings are largely informed by the restless relation of life as an illusory place in which different realities are mixed together. His compositions are tense and defy clear interpretation, yet are still grounded in a soft familiarity. Influenced by his experiences as a filmmaker and graphic designer, Puczel examines the empty silences of situations and reduces the image to the most essential details, thus forcing us to read between the lines and engage with the subjects at hand.
