Derek Boshier

Derek Boshier first came to prominence with his paintings as a student at the Royal College of Art in the early 1960s, alongside fellow students David Hockney, Allen Jones and others in the British Pop Art movement. He has also worked in other media including drawing, printmaking, film, books, three dimensional objects, installations and photography. His graphic creations produced in collaboration with musicians such as The Clash and David Bowie have seen his work reach an even wider audience.


His work is held in the public collections of galleries and museums including the V&A, The British Museum, Centre Pompidou, The Brooklyn Museum and the National Gallery of Art in Australia among others. Over the years he has held several solo exhibitions, most recently, his solo shows such as Extreme Makeover and Derek Boshier: Works on Paper, have been held in New York, London and San Francisco. Boshier is also an accomplished teacher and lecturer.
